About the word “Eucharist”
Eucharist literally means “thanksgiving.” It is a word Episcopalians commonly use to refer to Communion. This is the sharing of bread and wine that we believe is the Body and Blood of Jesus. We remember the meal Jesus shared with his friends by sharing in the gifts of the Table.
This is Christ’s Table, and all are welcome to receive Communion here.
